Agreement to these terms
By creating an account, using the Basecrawl website, or sending a request to our APIs, you agree to these Terms of Service. If you use Basecrawl on behalf of an organization, you confirm that you have authority to bind that organization, and “you” includes that organization.
These terms apply alongside any written order form or enterprise agreement. If a written agreement conflicts with these terms, the written agreement controls for the services it specifically covers.
Your account
You are responsible for keeping account credentials confidential, choosing authorized workspace members carefully, and ensuring the information associated with your account is accurate. Notify us promptly at [email protected] if you believe your account or API key has been accessed without permission.
You may not share an account or API key in a way that bypasses plan limits, access controls, or usage measurement. We may suspend access when we reasonably believe an account presents a security risk or violates these terms.
Using the service
Basecrawl provides tooling to request, transform, and organize web content. You are responsible for your requests, your API configuration, and how you use any content returned by the service. You must comply with applicable laws, contractual obligations, and the access rules of the sites you choose to crawl.
We may update, improve, or retire parts of the service to maintain reliability and security. When a change materially affects a paid feature, we will use reasonable efforts to provide advance notice through the dashboard, documentation, or the email associated with your account.
Acceptable use
Do not use Basecrawl to violate law or rights, evade technical access controls, transmit malware, overload a target, harvest credentials, build profiles from sensitive information, or interfere with another customer’s use of the service. Do not use the API in a way that undermines robots directives, rate limits, or a site owner’s stated access restrictions.
You may not reverse engineer the service, resell API access without permission, or use Basecrawl to develop a competing hosted crawling product. We may investigate suspected misuse and limit, suspend, or terminate access when necessary to protect users, partners, and the open web.
Fees and payment
Paid plans are billed in advance on the billing interval shown at checkout or in your order form. You are responsible for applicable taxes, unless you provide valid tax-exemption documentation. Usage beyond a plan’s included limits may require an upgrade or be subject to separately disclosed overage terms.
Except where required by law or agreed in writing, fees are non-refundable. You may cancel a self-serve subscription before the next renewal date through the billing settings. Access to paid features continues through the end of the paid period.
Disclaimers and liability
Basecrawl is provided on an “as is” and “as available” basis. We do not guarantee that every source website will be reachable, that extracted content will be complete or error-free, or that the service will operate without interruption. You should validate outputs before using them in high-impact decisions.
To the maximum extent permitted by law, Basecrawl will not be liable for indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages. Our aggregate liability arising from these terms will not exceed the amount you paid to Basecrawl for the service in the twelve months before the event giving rise to the claim.
Changes and contact
We may revise these terms to reflect changes in our service, legal requirements, or operational practices. The revised terms take effect when posted unless we specify a later date. Continuing to use Basecrawl after that date means you accept the revised terms.
For questions about these terms, contact [email protected]. Notices to you may be sent to the email address associated with your account or posted in the Basecrawl dashboard.
